Reducing Our CO₂ Emissions Year by Year
As a certified Eco-Lighthouse, we are proud to see the positive results of our ongoing environmental work.
Lindstrøm Hotel has been Eco-Lighthouse certified since 2012.
The Eco-Lighthouse certification is Norway’s most widely used environmental certification scheme for businesses to document their sustainability efforts and demonstrate corporate responsibility.
Lindstrøm Hotel has been Eco-Lighthouse certified since 2012 and was most recently re-certified in 2024 for a new three year period.
“It is exciting to see in our annual environmental report that our CO₂ emissions continue to decrease year by year,” says owner Knut Lindstrøm.
The latest figures from 2026 show that our CO₂ emissions have been reduced by as much as 18% compared to 2024. It is rewarding to see that the measures we implement have a real and measurable impact.
Our certification confirms that we take active environmental responsibility and contribute, in our own way, to the green transition.
Since our last report in 2024, we have introduced several improvements – including the replacement of 160 windows throughout the hotel to improve energy efficiency.
