Maristovadilten 2026: A popular walk along the King’s Road

On Saturday 5 September, you can join Maristovadilten, a popular walk along the historic King’s Road across Filefjell.

Known simply as “Dilten” among the locals, Maristovadilten is organised every year by Lærdal Sports Club and always takes place on the first weekend of September.

The walk covers approximately 11 kilometres from Kyrkjestølen to Maristova and is suitable for the whole family, young and old. Walk at your own pace and enjoy the spectacular mountain scenery along the way.

Maristovadilten has been an annual event since 1977 and has become a cherished tradition for many. If you are visiting Lærdal on Saturday 5 September, this is a wonderful opportunity to experience both local tradition and the beautiful landscape along the King’s Road.
